Empties #1; Beauty, Hair, Skincare & Toiletries
L'OREAL TRUE MATCH FOUNDATION, IVORY (£9.99 / Boots)
This is definitely a favourite amongst beauty lovers! This must be at least my 2nd or 3rd purchase of this. It is such a lovely foundation for a natural look that gives you a really healthy glow. I like to wear this during the brighter months when I still want coverage but don't want to feel like I have a lot of make-up on. It also has an amazing shade selection (22!!!) so wherever in the spectrum you are you should find one that suits you.
Would I repurchase?: Definitely!
BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION
Again I have been through quite a few bottles of this over the years and as you can probably tell by the packaging this has been hanging about for quite a while! I really like this foundation and would use it happily, but I think now this doesn't really provide as much coverage as I would ideally like on a day-to-day basis.
Would I repurchase?: Probably at one point but I won't be rushing to.
REVLON COLOURSTAY FOUNDATION, BUFF (£12.99 / Superdrug)
Ok, I don't go through a ridiculous amount of foundation, I've just been trying to use up some dying bottles recently!
I love this foundation and have sworn by it for years so I would definitely recommend this to any of you. You can even choose between two formulas to suit your skin type. I've used this for 4/5 years and keep going back to it, so if that isn't testimony to how amazing it is then I don't know what is.
Would I repurchase?: Probably for the 15th time, but yes!
COLLECTION LASTING PERFECTION CONCEALER
I don't think I will ever do an empties post that doesn't feature some of these in it. Obsessed, baby, holygrail, never leave me x
Would I repurchase?: Currently have another two on the go as well as a colour correcting version, duh.
ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLEWEAR 10-DAY SAMPLE
I picked up the 10-day foundation sample when I went with my friend who was purchasing the foundation. I absolutely fell in love with this foundation whilst using the trial and I genuinely did get 10 days (maybe even 1 or 2 extra) days worth of usage out of this tiny little pot. I would definitely recommend popping in and picking one of these up if you have been slightly mystified by the hype behind this like me!
Would I repurchase?: I have actually since bought the full-size version of this foundation, so I suppose I did!
BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO (£2.99 / Superdrug)
I rediscovered dry shampoo a few months ago and I don't know why I ever stopped loving it. This makes that 2nd/3rd-day hairdo so much more manageable. Please never leave me again Batiste xo
Would I repurchase?: Always and forever.
TRESEMME KERATIN SMOOTH SHAMPOO (£4.95 / Boots)
Tresemme is my go-to for shampoo and conditioner and this is probably one of my favourite lines from them. For damaged, frizzy hair this leaves my hair smooth and bouncy.
Would I repurchase?: Yes.
GARNIER SUPER-HYDRATING REVITALISING MOISTURE BOMB TISSUE MASK (£2.99 / Superdrug)
I picked this up for £1 when it was just out and only gotten around to using it a few weeks ago. This was the first 'tissue mask' I have ever actually used and I really enjoyed it. This mask is meant to contain 1 weeks worth of hydrating serum in one go. My skin definitely had a glow about it after using this and it felt really hydrated. For £1, this was a total bargain.
Would I repurchase?: I want to try some other masks similar to this a try before repurchasing this as it was my first experience.
111SKIN GOLD BRIGHTENING FACIAL TREATMENT MASK
I got this in a Glossybox quite a few months ago now and only got round to trying it a couple of weeks ago. This is the first product I have actually used with gold in it so I was really excited about it. This is honestly the best face mask I have ever used, and I have never seen such an instantaneous result from a mask. I did slightly resemble the tin man whilst wearing it, but holy crap it's amazing.
Would I repurchase?: Okay so the kick in the teeth is that it's £95 for 5 of these. Ha Ha HA.
CLEAN&CLEAR DUAL ACTION MOISTURISER
I picked this up on a whim because I needed new moisturiser and I had a few breakouts at the time. I didn't expect to see any difference when using this but I actually did. On the days I wore this under my make up I noticed my spots were significantly less aggravated during the day and then I took it off at night the redness had definitely reduced.
Would I repurchase?: I can definitely see myself picking this up again.
ESTEE LAUDER DAYWEAR MOISTURISER (£44 / Estee Lauder)
I really liked this but I just don't see the point in spending £44 on a moisturiser - I don't think you see any better results than using one that's £15.
Would I repurchase?: No, probably not.
NIP+FAB GLYCOLIC FIX DAILY CLEANSING PADS 60 pads (£12.99 / Boots)
I pick these up quite often if I see them on offer, but to be totally honest I don't totally love them. I enjoy using them and will pick it up if it's down to £5 as they often are but I probably wouldn't bother paying full price for these as I don't see that dramatic results. Cheapskate life yuuup.
Would I repurchase?: I have before but I really don't know why because I don't see that noticeable a difference from using these...
GARNIER MICELLAR EXTRA-GENTLE CLEANSING WIPES (£3.35 / Boots)
After the skincare revolution that was Caroline Hirons, I have made a conscientious effort to avoid dragging wet wipes over my face over the past few years. That said, we all have our moments where we just can't bring ourselves to get to that bathroom sink and for those moments I have been using these wipes. The wipes themselves are really soft, and they feel almost heavy from the amount of product in them. They're not harsh at all and don't leave me with any redness from abrasion which most wipes do. If you've got to use wipes, I would definitely suggest these as the best out of a bad bunch.
Would I repurchase?: Yes - but I'm more likely to stock up on a few packets the next time they are on offer.
ESTEE LAUDER ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR MINI
I have used this a lot over the years, and used to regularly buy the large bottles. I used to love it but after stopping using it I started using oils on my skin rather than serums, and I definitely think they are more effective. I would opt to use The Body Shop Serum-in-Oil over this nowadays even though this has a much heftier price tag.
Would I repurchase?: No. I think this is a really good product but I think you can get equal if not better results with alternative, cheaper products.
CHARLIE CHIC BODY SPRAY (£1.99 / Fragrance Direct)
Just a quick little mention to this because it smells bloody amazing and you should buy it, or at least go in to Boots and have a sniff.
Would I repurchase?: Yeah.
NIVEA PEARL & BEAUTY 48HR ANTIPERSPIRANT (£1.15 / Wilko)
Is it weird to include deodorants in this? I'm doing it anyway. This smells so amazing, I always opt for this deodorant when it's time to pick up a new one. Just wanted to put that out there, so yeah. Highly recommend this for nice smelling pits.
Would I repurchase: Already have.
RADOX FEEL LIVELY SHOWER GEL in WILD PEONY & LYCHEE
This smells gorgeoooous, and lot's of lather. Got to consider the lather in these things, very important.
Would I repurchase?: Yes as I enjoy smelling like I have been rolling around in a field of flowers.
