Superdrug Naturally Radiant: Budget Skincare Worth Trying

4th July 2017

Buying and trying out new skincare products has got to be one of my favourite things – I love finding alternatives to some of the ‘higher-end’ products that we know and love for a fraction of the price. Over the past few months, I have been trying out some of the products from the Superdrug Naturally Radiant skincare range and I thought I would share my thoughts on what I think is a great range with you guys.

The three products I have been trying are the; Hot Cloth Cleanser, the Glycolic Overnight Peel and the Glycolic Acid Pads.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser (£5.99)

Formulated with a unique energising complex and infused with Kiwi Fruit and Mulberry extracts to help revive skin’s radiance and even out skin tone. Enriched with nourishing Cocoa Butter, this rich and creamy formulation melts into the skin and cleanses away makeup and impurities, whilst also providing gentle exfoliation, leaving skin feeling renewed, soft and ultra clean.

This is a really nice alternative to the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse, and the scent and feel of the product are very reminiscent of the LE alternative. Although the ingredients of the LE version and slightly more refined, this version is more than 50% cheaper so it’s definitely worth trying if you want to experience a decent hot cloth cleanser but don’t want to break the bank.

The one thing about this product that puts me off is the fact that cocoa butter is the 3rd most prevalent product (again this is the same as the LE) and sometimes I feel when I use a cleanser with cocoa butter my skin doesn’t feel quite as squeaky clean as usual.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Pads (£5.99)

60 pads soaked in a specially developed blend of Glycolic Acid & fruit AHA’s. Help to remove dead cells from the surface of the skin leaving it fresher. With witch hazel to help tone the skin and added Aloe & Pro Vitamin B5.

I used to love the Nip+Fab Glycolic facial pads but after using them for so long I stopped seeing any results and didn’t want to keep on forking out for them. I have been trying these for a couple of weeks now and use them every morning and on the nights I don’t use the peel and find it’s a nice way to give my skin a reasonable amount of the acid on a daily basis without overusing it.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel (£5.99)

Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel is formulated with a unique energising complex infused with Kiwi Fruit and Mulberry Extracts to help revive skin’s radiance and even out skin tone. With Glycolic Acid, a powerful Alpha Hydroxy (AHA) and a Fruit Acid Blend, the refreshing gel formula also refines and retexturizes the skin’s surface, providing a brighter, more youthful complexion.

This product is probably my favourite from the range that I have tried (so far!) and is also the first ‘peel’ product I have used before. I only use it once or twice a week at most as I feel any more would be a bit much for my skin. You use a pea sized amount on freshly cleansed skin and let it work it’s magic overnight, and the results really are visible. My skin looks a lot brighter and generally refreshed on mornings that I have used this the night before!

Have you tried anything from this range yet? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
